What’s new in DogMode

We ship improvements constantly. Here’s the latest — newest first.

  • 🐶Making a card for a 2nd or 3rd dog in the same household is easier now — “More dogs on this card” sits right under the main dog, and you can PICK a saved dog profile for each extra dog (prefills their name, breed & photo) instead of typing it all again.
  • 💾Clearer too: just one dog? Skip it, you're done. Added more dogs? They all save together when you tap Save or Send — no separate saving needed.

  • 🐶Two (or three) dogs in one household? Make ONE card for all of them. In the builder, scroll to “More dogs on this card” and add each dog with their own name, breed and photos — one message, one link to the owner.
  • 🔖The card shows a tab for each dog plus an “All” view — the owner taps to see each pup's own before/after and photos. Works for grooming, daycare, every service.
  • 👀Read receipts now show the exact date AND time a card was opened (e.g. “Opened 27 Jun · 2:30pm”), not just the time.

  • 📸Tap any photo on a card and swipe left/right through the whole set — smooth, full-screen, with a photo count. Perfect for boarding days and galleries.
  • 🐶Dog profiles are fully editable now — change a dog's name or breed anytime in Edit profile, not just the owner's details.
  • 🗓️Every card now shows the visit date AND time in one consistent format — no more some-with, some-without.
  • ✂️More grooming styles to pick from — Full Groom (Crew Cut), Full Groom (Styled Head), Wash & Blow Dry, Wash Blow Dry & Tidy, and De-shedding Treatment.
  • 📊In Analytics, tap any number — opens, rebookings, interactions — to see exactly which dogs are behind it. And you can hide test dogs from the Top Dogs board.

  • 📷Owners can now send YOU photos & videos straight from their card chat — a dog-issue photo, a vet receipt, a quick clip. Tap the 📷 in the chat. They show up right in your Inbox conversation.
  • 🧑Boarding now shows who's looking after each dog — the carer's photo & name appear on the Inbox Jobs list, the Reports row, and the top of the chat — so when several pups board at once, it's clear who's responsible for each.
  • 🔔A gentle nudge in your Inbox makes it easy to turn on phone notifications, so you never miss a card opening, a reaction or a message.

  • ⚠️New card type: Incident reports. When something happens during a visit, send the owner a clear, caring report — what happened, how serious, what caused it, what you did, whether they're okay, and the next steps. It has its own serious red theme and is flagged red across the app so you spot it.
  • ✂️If something happened in YOUR care — a nick during grooming, a quicked nail — the card owns it honestly, and you can add a “Putting it right” offer to cover the vet costs (all of it, a %, or “let's sort it together”).
  • 💬Calm by design — no rebook nudges, reviews or sharing. The owner can tap “I've read this” and reply with questions; incidents waiting on a reply get a red flag in Reports & Inbox so nothing slips.

  • ⚙️Settings is reorganised — a clean menu of categories (Brand, Staff, Links, Messaging, Booking, Notifications, Growth, Billing…) so it's easy to find things. Tap a category to dive in.
  • 🙋Sole trader? Set Brand & identity → Account type to “Individual” and the whole app speaks as you — cards say “by [your name]”, and branch settings disappear.
  • 📸Add a photo to each team member in Settings → Staff. Their face now shows on every card they make and on their chat replies — so owners get to know them.
  • 💬Chat is now consistent everywhere — the Team channel got the emoji picker, and every composer has a clear 📷 photo/video button.

  • 🔔Push notifications! Get a buzz on your phone the moment a card earns some love — opened 👀, a heart ❤️, a message 💬, a rebooking 🔁, a reshare ↗️ or a review ⭐.
  • ⚙️Turn them on in Settings → Notifications, and pick exactly which ones you want — each type has its own switch. (On iPhone, add DogMode to your Home Screen first.)
  • 🙈Your own opens and taps never notify you — only the real love from owners.

  • 😀The emoji picker in chat is bigger and never gets cut off — a quick row of favourites plus the full set by category (smileys, hands, hearts, animals & more).
  • ✨The Daycare & Grooming buttons on Home are cleaner now — white like the others, with an on-brand glow on hover.
  • 🗂️In Reports, tap the Draft / Sent / Opened key to filter to just those cards.
  • 🏠“Finish your drafts” now has a clear “Back to home” exit that keeps your drafts saved.

  • 🌅Daycare cards now have a “length of stay” dropdown in the booking section — customers pick how long they want (1h/2h/3h/half/full day). Choose which lengths you offer in Settings → Daycare booking.

  • 🎬Add multiple videos to a card — every card's photo gallery now takes several video clips as well as photos (grooming keeps its before/after, with extra photos & videos below).

  • 🌅Daycare now books by length of stay (1h / 2h / 3h / half / full day) instead of a weeks countdown — it shows as a chip on the card and leads with your daycare pass.
  • 🧳Boarding & walking rebooking make more sense now — boarding is “book your next stay when you’re away”, walking leads with “book the next walk” (and a walk pass if you offer one). Only grooming keeps the every-N-weeks cycle.
  • ✨Polish: the “Finish your drafts” buttons sit comfortably clear of the screen edge, and the stray dark strip on scroll is gone.
  • 🎥Send videos in chat — in a card conversation or your team channel, tap 📎 to send a photo OR a video clip, and they play right in the thread (WhatsApp-style).

  • 💾Drafts now save themselves as you go — once a card has a dog's name, it's saved automatically every few seconds, so nothing's lost if you get interrupted or close the app. You'll see “Saved automatically ✓”.

  • ☀️Daycare cards are now package-led: instead of a “rebook in N weeks” date, they say “Keep their play days coming” and show a “Grab a daycare pass & save” button (add a Daycare-packages link in Settings).
  • 📸Emailed cards now lead with the after photo — the glow-up is the star of the email, just like the card.

  • ✉️Emailed cards are beautiful now — a branded email with your shop name & colours, the dog’s photo, and a big button to the card.
  • 💬In the send sheet, Text now sits above Email, and the owner’s name shows at the top so you always know who you’re sending to.
  • 📨Opening a card’s options shows just the owner’s latest message as one tile — tap it to jump straight into that chat.

  • 💬Text messages are now on — send a card by SMS and the owner's mobile auto-fills.
  • 🏷️Your texts come from YOUR shop name (set it under Settings → Text messages — up to 11 letters/numbers), so customers see you, not “Dogmode”.

  • 💳Cards can now show your packages: add a Daycare-packages and/or Grooming-packages link in Settings, and a “Buy a pass & save” button appears on the Rebook tile (the card’s own service leads, the other is a gentle cross-sell).
  • ☀️Daycare cards have a new Full day / Half day option — pick it in the builder and a friendly “Full day of play” chip shows on the card.
  • ✍️Daycare cards now read “loves a play day every…” (instead of the grooming wording), and “1 week” no longer shows as “1 weeks”.

  • 🗂️“Finish your drafts” is now the main work item on Home, right under the card types — open it to flick through your drafts as a stack of cards.
  • 👆Work through drafts one dog at a time: swipe the card, or tap its left/right side, to move between them — the next one peeks out behind. Then Finish & send, Open & edit, Skip or Discard.

  • 🐶The Dogs tab is tidier — compact tiles that match your Reports, with a card-count on each. Tap a dog for its profile & history; swipe to preview or remove.
  • 🔎Quick service filters (All · Daycare · Grooming…) sit right above the list, so a long roster is easy to sift.

  • 🔒Sent cards stay sent: opening, checking or editing one never knocks it back to draft — even if a teammate sent it while you had it open.
  • ✏️Editing a sent card saves your changes to the same live link and keeps it marked as sent.
  • 🔁New “Mark as sent / Mark as draft” option on each card if you ever need to correct its status by hand.

  • ✉️Sending: the email field now always prefills the owner's email and is ready to send — no more grey-out or a phone number landing in the email box.
  • 📱When you switch SMS on, the owner's mobile drops in automatically and works no matter how it's typed (0412…, +61…, any country).
  • ⚡Cards open faster — the live Google rating no longer holds up the page if Google is slow.

  • 💞One reaction prompt now sits right under the dog's photo, and the emoji floats up over the picture when tapped.

  • 💬Owners now react like WhatsApp — a quick emoji row plus a ＋ to pick any emoji they like.
  • 🎉Tapping a reaction floats it up the screen with a little sparkle — and the same happy animation greets you when you open a card an owner has reacted to.
  • ❤️Reactions show right on each Reports card (kept compact, all cards stay the same size), and a badge appears when an owner messages you.

  • 😍Owners can now react with ❤️😍🥰😂🔥 right under the photos — every reaction lands in your chat & Activity feed so you can reply.
  • 🦮Walk cards: an animated pawprint trail on the route map, an energy/mood meter, a 'made a furry friend' badge and the weather.
  • 🏠Boarding cards: a 'settling in' meter, a daily routine tracker (ate / nap / toilet / meds) and an end-of-stay 'pawstcard' keepsake.
  • ✂️Grooming cards: add the style/cut you did (huge built-in list) for a 'new look' Style card with a fresh-factor & next-groom countdown.
  • 🔗The Copy-link button now gently pulses when you open a card's options, so it's always easy to find.

  • 🔁Rebookings front-and-centre: when an owner taps Rebook it's counted automatically — shown as a green Rebooked tag on the card, no admin needed.
  • 📨Owners are notified the moment you reply in chat, with a link straight back to the conversation.
  • 🧹Cleaner Reports tiles — more room to breathe. Swipe right to copy the link, swipe left to preview or delete.
  • ℹ️Little info dots around the app explain anything that isn't obvious — tap them anytime.
