Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These terms are an agreement between DogMode ("we", "us") and the business that creates a DogMode account ("you"). By creating an account or using DogMode, you agree to them.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It forms part of this agreement.

What DogMode is

DogMode is software for dog businesses: report cards, online booking, payments, customer records and automated follow-ups. You use it to serve your own customers, under your own brand.

DogMode is not a marketplace. Your customers remain your customers, and your customer list stays yours.

Your account

  • You must give us accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • DogMode is for business use, by people 18 or over.
  • Keep your login details safe. A DogMode login is often shared across a team, and you are responsible for what anyone using your login does.

Trial, subscription and billing

Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. No payment details are needed to start.

Paid plans are priced weekly and billed monthly through Stripe: $39 a week for each branch on the shop plan, and $14.99 a week for each card type on the solo plan. Chains and multi-site groups are priced individually.

You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time in Settings. Upgrades apply straight away. Downgrades and cancellations take effect from your next billing date, and amounts already billed are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise.

Prices are in Australian dollars. Where GST applies to our fees, your invoice will show it. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your own sales.

If a payment fails we will retry it and let you know. If it keeps failing, your account may drop back to the free plan until billing is fixed.

Texts and messaging

The shop plan includes 50 texts per branch each month, then $0.35 for each extra text. The solo plan has no included texts: each text is $0.35. Email and link sharing are free and unlimited on every plan.

You must only message people who expect to hear from your business, and you must comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). DogMode's automated messages respect every recipient's opt-out, and you must not try to work around an opt-out.

Online bookings and payments

Card payments, subscriptions and payouts are processed by Stripe. To take online payments, you also accept Stripe's connected account agreement, and payouts go to your own bank account.

When DogMode drives a booking through one of its own doors (your report cards, your DogMode booking page or website embed, or a staff payment link), we keep 3.5% of that booking and you keep the rest. The fee is charged to your business and is never added to your customer's price. If you refund a customer, we return our fee on the refunded amount in the same proportion.

Bookings you take outside DogMode never carry a DogMode fee.

You are responsible for the services you sell: honouring bookings, your own cancellation policy, refunds to your customers, and the accuracy of your prices and descriptions.

Your content and your customers

Everything your business puts into DogMode stays yours: your customer list, your photos, your cards, your records. You can export your customer list at any time.

You give us permission to store, process and display that content, but only as needed to run DogMode for you.

You must have the right to upload what you upload, including your customers' contact details and photos of their dogs.

We use aggregated, de-identified usage information to improve the product. It never identifies your business or your customers.

Acceptable use

  • No unlawful use, and no content you have no right to use.
  • No spam. Message people who expect to hear from you.
  • No interfering with the service, probing its security, or accessing another business's data.
  • No malicious code.
  • No reselling DogMode without our written agreement.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where practical, we will warn you first.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep DogMode fast and available, and we monitor it around the clock, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.

We ship improvements constantly, and features may change over time. If we ever discontinue something important to your business, we will give you reasonable notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.

You are responsible for your business's relationship with its customers, including complying with the laws that apply to your services.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in Settings.

We can end this agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach.

After an account closes, we delete or de-identify its data as described in the Privacy Policy. Export your records first if you want to keep them.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

If we update these terms, the date at the top will change, and we will flag significant changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use DogMode after a change means you accept it.
