Pricing

How can the software be free?

Run your bookings and payments through dogmode and our 3.95% booking fees replace your subscription, dollar for dollar, down to $0. You never pay both. For a one-location shop that is about A$2,506 of bookings a month.

Is there a free plan?

There is a free 7-day trial and we do not ask for a card to start it. After that a shop is A$99 a month per location and a solo business is A$39 a month, and either reaches $0 once your booking fees cover it.

How much does software for a dog business cost?

Ours is A$99 a month per location in Australian dollars, or $0 when your bookings and payments run through dogmode. Solo groomers, walkers and sitters pay A$39 a month.

What will I actually pay in a month?

For one location: at most A$99 for the plan, minus your booking fees, floored at $0. The first 200 texts are included, then A$0.20 a text; email and link sharing are free and unlimited.

Does dogmode charge a fee on every booking?

No. We take 3.95% of a booking paid through dogmode, card processing included, with a floor of A$0.50 on one payment. A booking you take yourself, a walk-in or a cancellation costs nothing.

Can I use dogmode without taking payments?

Yes. The plan is then the price, A$99 a month per location or A$39 a month. Everything else works the same; you only miss the booking-fee credit that takes the plan to $0.

What does the Marketplace cost?

Nothing while your city lists fewer than 25 shops. Once it does, a new customer who finds you on the Marketplace costs 20% of their first booking, with a floor of A$8 and a cap of A$200. A returning customer never costs a cent, and neither does anyone who books through your own links.

What is the difference between Just me and A shop?

Just me is for one person working alone, with no premises: a groomer, walker or sitter. A shop is for a shop with a team and a place, from one person up to twenty, priced per location. Both have every feature; over twenty people or several sites, A chain is priced with you.

Do you charge per staff member?

No. The price is per location, not per person. Your whole team works from one login on their own phones, so adding a groomer costs nothing.

Is the price in Australian dollars?

Yes. Every price on this page is in Australian dollars and it is what we charge, so your invoice matches your statement with no exchange rate and no foreign transaction fee in between.

Do I have to book a demo to see the price?

No. Every price is on this page. Start the free trial and send a real card today without speaking to anyone. We are happy to walk you through it if you would rather, but it is never the gate.

Are there setup fees or lock-in contracts?

No setup fee and no exit fee. It's month to month: upgrades start straight away, reductions apply from your next billing date, and you can leave with 30 days' notice. The one exception is a custom integration with your own booking system, which is quoted and set up once.

Online booking

Can customers book on my own website?

Yes. Paste one line and your site has a Book now button in your brand; already have a button you like? One attribute makes it open dogmode Checkout instead.

Do I have to change my website to take bookings?

No. Keep the site you have. The booking flow opens on top of it, and it works the same on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and a plain page.

What can a customer book online?

Grooming and one-on-one appointments with real availability, daycare days up to the capacity you set, multi-night boarding stays, extras, and several dates in one paid checkout.

Is every online booking paid?

It can be: paid in full, a deposit, or a card on file, and you switch it on per service. A booking you take yourself over the counter or the phone carries no fee at all.

What happens when a returning customer books?

They are recognised by phone or email. Their dog and their usual pre-fill, so the rebook is two taps, and in the Dogdoor it is one.

Can it double-book a groomer?

No. Availability is real, per groomer and per service, and a capacity-based day (daycare) stops at the number you set.

Can I keep the booking system I use today?

Yes. On Bookly we bridge dogmode into it: bookings land in your own diary, your system keeps its prices, and one click switches it off.

What is a repeat booking?

A series: weekly daycare days, or a groom every few weeks with the usual groomer, booked a rolling four weeks ahead. The owner agrees to the saved card at checkout, and either of you can end it in one tap.

Where else can a customer book me?

From your link and QR code, from every report card, on the Marketplace, and at the counter by a pay link your staff text.

Does the booking page show my prices?

Yes, by size and by branch, so the price a customer sees is always the price charged.

What does it do about no-shows?

Reminders before the day, a deposit or a card on file where you choose, and a diary that only holds real, paid bookings.

Can I try the booking flow first?

Yes. Open the live demo and book like a customer would, on our demo shop, in a money-safe preview. Nothing is charged.

What does online booking cost?

Nothing on a booking you take yourself. A booking paid through dogmode carries one booking fee, card processing included (your country's rate is on the pricing page), and those fees replace the subscription, dollar for dollar, down to nothing. 7-day free trial, no card to start.

Payments

What does it cost?

We keep one all-in rate on bookings we drive and you keep the rest. That rate includes card processing, with a small minimum per payment; your country's is on the pricing page. Those fees replace your subscription dollar for dollar, so a shop running its payments through dogmode pays $0 for the software. The owner never pays a surcharge.

Do my customers need an account or a password?

Never. Owners tap to pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and returning customers are recognised by phone or email. No login, no password, no app to download.

When do I get the money?

Money settles to your own bank account through Stripe, with every payout explained in the app. Your shop's name shows on the owner's statement.

Do I have to take payments online?

No. Bookings run through dogmode either way, and you can collect at the counter however you like. Switch on dogmode Checkout payments whenever you want bookings paid up front, and your booking fees start covering your subscription.

Do I need a merchant account?

No merchant account to set up. Payments are powered by Stripe and take minutes to switch on.

Are payments on dogmode secure?

Yes. Payments run on Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider: card details go straight to Stripe and never touch dogmode, and every payout lands in your own bank account.

Can I take a deposit for a boarding stay?

Take a deposit up front for boarding and collect the balance later. Charge a set amount, half the stay, or one night's stay. Your call, per service. Available today. You switch it on in Settings when you want it.

Can an owner leave a tip?

Owners can add a tip at checkout when the day deserves it. Tips settle to the shop, with a clear per-staff report inside the app.

How do refunds work?

Refund in two taps, full or partial, right from the transaction. Nothing refunds on its own: money only moves when a person acts.

What does my accountant get?

A GST-annotated CSV made for your accountant. Counter payments land in the same view as online ones, with the fee shown on each.

Report cards

What goes on a report card?

Photos and video from the visit, how the day went, the groom or the activity, a note, your staff member's name, and the rebook button at the end, all in your logo and colours.

How long does a card take to make?

About a minute from any phone: staff grab a few photos and tap how the day went, and dogmode turns it into a branded card. It autosaves, so a busy day never loses one.

Do owners need an app or a login to open it?

The card is a link. It opens in their browser, branded to your shop, with their dog as the star.

Can my staff send cards from their own phones?

Yes. Everyone works from one login on their own phone, each card credits the staff member who sent it, and the catch-up deck holds the day's drafts.

Is there a card for daycare, boarding, walking and training?

A card type for every job you do: grooming, daycare, boarding, walking and training, plus a serious-tone incident report for when something needs care.

Can I show before-and-after photos?

Photos and video on every card. Before-and-after for grooming, the day's moments for daycare.

Can the owner reply to a card?

Reactions land straight in your inbox, and a chat thread runs on every card. Voice notes come back transcribed for you.

Does the card bring the owner back?

Every card ends with a rebook button. Returning owners book their usual in two taps.

What happens when an owner shares a card?

A card this good gets shown to friends. The share carries your booking button with it, so a new owner can book you on the spot.

Is the card branded to my shop or to yours?

Your logo, your colours, your staff credited. Owners see your business, not ours.

Can I tell whether a card was opened?

Opened, loved, messaged, rebooked, reshared, reviewed. Every card reports back, so you know the loop is working and which owners went quiet.

Are report cards included in the plan?

Yes, on every plan, unlimited. Email and link sharing are free; 200 texts a month per location are included, then a small price a text (your country's is on the pricing page).

What about an incident?

A serious-tone incident report is one of the card types, for when something needs care, and incident safety reports are always free.

The Dogdoor

What is the Dogdoor?

Every dog you send report cards to gets a page of their own. Their whole story is on it, and a Book button that already knows which dog. It saves to the home screen as your icon. No app store, no login, nothing to download.

Do my customers have to download an app?

It is a link. It opens in their browser and saves to the home screen as your icon, on any phone. No app store, no password, no account to make.

How does an owner add it to their home screen?

They open any report card you sent and tap Share, then Add to Home Screen on iPhone, or the browser menu, then Add to Home screen on Android. It opens as your icon from then on.

What does the owner see on it?

Every report card you have ever sent that dog lives here, newest first, with all the photos from every one of them. Tap a photo and they swipe through their dog's history like a photo reel. Each one names the visit it came from, with the full report card one tap away.

Can they book from it?

The Book button opens your real booking with the right dog already picked, so a regular rebooks in a couple of taps.

What if a customer has more than one dog?

A customer with more than one dog switches between them from the same page, and Book follows whichever dog they picked.

Can the customer make it their own?

They pick a look for the page, write a line about their dog and set the profile photo. What they add shows on that dog's profile in your app too.

Is it your brand or mine?

It is your shop, not ours. Your name, your colours, your booking, your contact buttons. Owners never see dogmode.

What does my team have to do to keep it up?

Every card you send feeds it. There is nothing extra for your team to do, and no second thing to keep up to date.

What happens when a card is reshared?

A reshared card lands here too, so a friend meets your shop on a page that already has a Book button on it.

Can I see what the Dogdoor earns?

Bookings that start here carry their own mark, so the page has to earn its place like everything else. Dogdoor visits, the customers who made a page theirs, and the bookings that started on a dog's own page with what they are worth. Add the tiles from Customise on Reports, Analytics or Impact.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It is a page that saves to the home screen as your icon on any phone, iPhone or Android, and opens in the browser with no app store between.

Is the Dogdoor included in the plan?

Yes, on every plan: every dog you send a report card to gets one, with nothing to switch on.

Does every kind of visit get a Dogdoor?

Yes. Grooming, daycare, boarding, walking and training: every dog you send a report card to gets one, with every card from every kind of visit inside.

Follow-ups

Which follow-ups run?

Abandoned checkout recovery, Warm-lead follow-up, Appointment reminders, Due-back rebooking, Review asks, Win-backs, Birthday wishes. Four run today at our founding pilot, sending real nudges to real customers. The other three are built and waiting: you flip each one on when it suits you.

Will my customers get spammed?

A hard cap of one automated message per customer every 14 days, across all follow-ups combined.

When do the messages go out?

Sends happen 8am to 8pm in your shop's own timezone. Never at midnight.

What if the owner already rebooked?

If the owner already booked, the nudge is skipped. Nobody gets chased for something they did.

Can an owner opt out?

One opt-out silences every automation for that owner, everywhere.

Can an automation charge a card?

No automation can charge a card or move a dollar. Money only moves when a person acts.

Can I change the wording?

Reword any message and see a live preview before it ever sends.

How do I know what was sent?

Every automation shows what it sent and when it last ran. Texts carry real delivered-or-failed receipts.

What counts as won back?

A booking counts as won back only if it lands within 72 hours of the nudge. If we cannot prove it, we do not count it.

Are repeat bookings an automation?

Looking for repeat bookings, where a regular is booked in every week? That is a booking feature with you in charge, not an automation.

Which ones are live today?

Abandoned checkout recovery, Warm-lead follow-up, Appointment reminders, Due-back rebooking. The others are built and waiting: you flip each one on when it suits you.

Do the texts cost extra?

200 texts a month per location are included, then a small price a text (your country's is on the pricing page). Email is free and unlimited.

Can I switch one off?

Yes. Each follow-up has its own switch, and every automation shows what it sent and when it last ran.

Do follow-ups go out in my shop's name?

Yes. Every message carries your shop's name and your own booking link, so the owner books you, not a stranger.

Do follow-ups work at every branch?

Yes. Every branch's follow-ups run inside the same guardrails, and each review ask is deep-linked to that branch's own Google listing.

Google reviews

How does dogmode decide what it brought me?

A booking counts only if it flowed through a dogmode surface. Walk-ins and your own phone bookings are never claimed.

Are my walk-ins counted?

Never. A booking counts only if it flowed through a dogmode surface. Walk-ins and your own phone bookings are never claimed.

What is a channel?

Card, website, link and counter, each counted on its own, per branch.

What does the ROI line show?

What dogmode drove this period, next to what it costs you. The maths a shop owner actually wants to see.

What is an estimate?

Estimates are labelled as estimates. A figure we cannot measure directly says so on its tile, so you always know which numbers are counted and which are worked out.

How is a won-back booking counted?

A won-back booking counts only within 72 hours of the nudge that drove it.

Can I share the numbers with someone?

A branded ROI summary you can send to a business partner or your accountant.

Is Impact included in the plan?

Yes, on every plan, with nothing to switch on: it counts from the first booking that comes through a dogmode door.

Integrations

What does dogmode connect to?

Your website, Stripe for payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay, Google for reviews and maps, texts and email, phone alerts and booking systems. The directory lists every one, with what it does today.

Do I have to switch booking systems?

No. On Bookly we bridge dogmode into it: owners book and pay through dogmode Checkout, and every booking lands in the diary your staff already use, with your system in charge of prices.

Can you bring my customers across?

Yes. We move your customers, dogs and past visits in from the system you use today, checked before anything goes live, so dogmode knows each regular's rhythm from day one.

What is a custom integration?

A connector we build into the booking or CRM software you run: a one-time setup, then bookings made through us flow into your diary and changes stay in step.

Does it work with my website?

Yes. Paste one line and your site has a Book now button in your brand, on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or a plain page.

Which payment methods come built in?

Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards, through Stripe, paid into your own bank account with your shop's name on the owner's statement.

How do Google reviews connect?

Each branch has its own Google review link, so every review ask lands on the right listing, and your stars show on your Marketplace page.

What does an integration cost?

The ones in the box come with every plan. A custom integration is a one-time setup, then the same booking fee on bookings we drive: never the owner's money, and nothing on plain link-outs.

Can I switch an integration off?

Yes. The Bookly bridge switches off in one click, and your own system keeps every booking it already has.

Who sets it up?

We do, in a supervised session: a reviewable plugin, your whole customer base imported, and prices synced daily with your system always winning on money.

Can you connect a system that is not listed?

Tell us what you run. Bookly was the first bridge we built, for a shop that did not want to change, and we build yours the same way.

Chains and multi-site

Can I run more than one branch on one account?

Prices, Google review links, settings and billing are set per branch and run from one account.

Are prices set per branch?

Yes. Prices, Google review links, settings and billing are per branch, run from one account, with per-branch overrides on size and weight pricing so the price shown is the price charged.

Is there one money view for the whole group?

Every branch's payments, refunds and payouts in one place, with a GST-annotated CSV for your accountant.

Can I see which branch a booking came from?

Cards, website, link and counter, split by branch, so you can see which door grows which location.

Does every branch carry our brand?

Your logo and two colours become a complete theme, on every card and every checkout. Owners see your business, not ours.

How does onboarding a group work?

We install alongside the booking system you already run, import your customer base, and sync prices daily with your system in charge. One click switches the bridge off.

Is multi-branch proven anywhere?

A real two-branch shop runs dogmode across both of its locations today, on one account. Real bookings, real payments, real cards. Our founding pilot shop's owner holds an equity stake in dogmode.

How is a group billed?

Per location, with nothing per staff member: unlimited locations in one login, each on its own diary, and the booking fees of every branch credited against its own subscription.

Can staff move between branches?

Yes. Everyone works from one login on their own phone; a staff member can be rostered at more than one branch, and their own pay follows them.

Does each branch get its own Marketplace page?

Yes. Each location is listed with its own hours, prices, Google stars and booking door, the day it is approved.

Can we keep the booking system a branch already runs?

Yes, for a branch on Bookly: we bridge dogmode into it, bookings land in its own diary, and one click switches the bridge off.

What do owners see across branches?

One Dogdoor per dog, whichever branch they visit, with the Book button set to the right branch and the right staff.

Can I see a walkthrough before committing?

Book a walkthrough and we will show you the real product on a real multi-branch shop, not slides.

The Marketplace

What is the dogmode Marketplace?

A place where dog owners find and book groomers, daycares, boarders, walkers and trainers near them, then book and pay online.

How does my business appear on the Marketplace?

It is listed the day your card payments through dogmode go live, with a service bookable online and a photo: your menu, prices, photos, team and Google stars come from your own shop, and it updates itself.

Do I need to pay to be listed?

No. Listing is free. The Marketplace fee is 20% of a new customer's first online booking, with a small floor and a cap in your own money (the pricing page has your country's), and nothing while your city has under 25 shops listed. A customer who books you again pays you no fee.

What counts as a new customer?

A dog owner who has never booked with your shop before, finding you through the Marketplace.

Do you take the dog's details before the visit?

Yes: the booking asks for the dog's breed and size and your own care questions, so you know the dog before it arrives.

How does dogmode help me attract the right customers?

Owners filter by service, suburb and day, and see your photos, prices and reviews before they book, so the bookings that come in are the ones you want.

How are payments handled for Marketplace bookings?

Paid at booking with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card, into your own Stripe account, with payouts to your bank.

Will Marketplace bookings land in my diary?

Yes: in the same diary as every other booking, with the dog, the service and that it is paid.

Can Marketplace customers become regulars?

Yes. Every visit ends with a report card and a Book-again button, and their next booking with you carries no Marketplace fee.

How do I get started?

Start your 7-day free trial, add your menu and switch on payments: you are listed the same day.

For groomers

How do grooming report cards bring clients back?

Each card ends with a one-tap rebook button set to the coat's ideal interval, so owners book the next groom while they're still glowing about this one. No chasing required.

Do owners need an app to see the before-and-after?

No. You text or email a link; it opens a gorgeous branded page in their browser with the photos and rebook button. No account, no download.

Can I show the exact style or cut I did?

Yes. The grooming card captures the style, a fresh-factor and a freshness countdown, so owners know exactly what was done and when it's due again.

How long does it take to set up dogmode for a groomer?

About a minute to start, and your first report card can go out today. We move your customer list for you, free, from MoeGo, Cliniko, Bookly or a spreadsheet.

Can my customers book grooming online?

Yes. Your own booking page, your website, the report card and your Marketplace listing all lead to your diary, with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card at checkout.

Does dogmode take payments for groomers?

Yes, through Stripe: up front, at pickup, a deposit or a pay link by text, at one flat rate that includes card processing. Run your bookings and payments through dogmode and the software itself is $0.

Will it work with the booking system I use today?

Usually in a day: we move your list over for you. If you need to keep your current system, a custom integration (Bookly and others) is set up once, and bookings land in your diary from day one.

Can I run more than one location?

Yes. Unlimited locations in one login, each with its own diary, staff and prices, billed per location with nothing per staff member.

What do owners see?

The Dogdoor: their dog's report cards, photos, bookings and chat, opened from a text with no app store and no password.

What does it cost a groomer?

One flat monthly price per location, less for a solo business (in your money on the pricing page), with a 7-day free trial and no card to start. Bookings paid through dogmode replace the subscription, dollar for dollar, down to $0.

For daycares

What goes on a daycare report card?

Photos from the day, how it went, the friends they made, their energy and naps: a warm snapshot of your dog's day that owners open and share.

Can I sell daycare passes through the card?

Yes. Add your pass or package link and the card leads its rebook with it, turning one happy day into a multi-day package purchase.

How often should I send a daycare card?

Most daycares send after every visit. It's a two-minute job for staff and it's what keeps regulars feeling connected and re-booking their set days.

How long does it take to set up dogmode for a daycare?

About a minute to start, and your first report card can go out today. We move your customer list for you, free, from MoeGo, Cliniko, Bookly or a spreadsheet.

What does it cost a daycare?

One flat monthly price per location, less for a solo business (in your money on the pricing page), with a 7-day free trial and no card to start. Bookings paid through dogmode replace the subscription, dollar for dollar, down to $0.

For boarders

Can owners follow their dog's whole boarding stay?

Yes. The boarding card is one evolving page you update each day with photos and notes. Owners just reopen the same link to see the latest, no account needed.

How does this reduce anxious-owner messages?

By getting ahead of them. A daily update with photos and how their dog settled answers the questions before they're asked, so owners relax and trust you.

Does it work for in-home and kennel boarding?

Both. The card captures where the dog is staying, who's caring for them, the daily routine and a countdown home, however you board.

How long does it take to set up dogmode for a boarder?

About a minute to start, and your first report card can go out today. We move your customer list for you, free, from MoeGo, Cliniko, Bookly or a spreadsheet.

Can my customers book boarding online?

For walkers

How does the route map work?

Add the stops along your walk and the card draws the actual route on a map, with the distance and time. Owners see exactly where their dog went.

Why send a report card for a dog walk?

Because owners aren't there. A card with the route, stats and photos is proof of a great walk. It builds the trust that keeps your calendar full.

Can I sell walk passes or packages?

Yes. Add your pass link and the card leads its rebook with it, turning one-off walks into a weekly repeat booking.

For trainers

How do training report cards help retention?

They make invisible progress visible. When owners can see each skill advancing and have homework to do, they stay committed to the programme and keep booking sessions.

Can I track skills and levels per session?

Yes. Each card lists the skills you worked on with a progress level for each, plus a homework note: a clear record owners can follow week to week.
